| The purpose of our on-site training sessions is to gather users together for a "hands-on" training for the COST model. We are prepared to spend as much time as necessary to get the most from these sessions. We want to give users a chance to use the model and ask questions as desired and give feedback to the COST Development Team |
|
For our hands-on training sessions we provide using laptops networked to our in-house COST server: We'll enter a warning order using the Operation Wizard, deploy service units, calculate, and compare with a written example. We'll then refine that warning order with a deployment order, and further refine the estimate, demonstrating as many features of COST as possible. |
| This hands-on exercise will simulate actual SIPRNet use. We'll have laptops connected to our unclassified in-house server using the client software CITRIX. One laptop will be connected to a projector in order to show the progress of the estimate. Users will be running COST from the server, and simultaneously entering different service positions into the same estimate in a shared database. |
